Welcome to the Friends of Windmill Allotments website

Ted

The Friends of Windmill Allotments is a voluntary group set up in May 2005 to protect this beautiful allotment site from the threat of redevelopment. Few urban allotment sites are ever safe from such threats. Interested people are encouraged to join the Friends to keep a protective eye on this historic site.

Using the menu on the left you can find out about our historic allotments and the threat they face; about 'The Friends of Windmill Allotments' and how this community is trying to save them. Click here for a leaflet on Intergenerational Work.

There is plenty of supporting information to download via the Information Area - including explanatory documents, Council minutes and reports, plus campaign resources including petition sheets, leaflets, posters and other information.

In the 'Archive' section you can read articles and press releases regarding the allotments and the progress of our campaign.

If you want to arrange an interview or have a query this website does not answer, you will find our address and email details in 'Contact Us'.
